POLAND - Catherine C. Kolb, 94, of Poland, died at 11 a.m. Monday at Assumption Village.
Born Oct. 26, 1919, in Czechoslovakia, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Katherine (Sciranko) Chizmar.
Mrs. Kolb was a homemaker and had also worked as a seamstress at the former Weatherbee Coats in Youngstown. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Columbiana.
Her husband, Edward A. Kolb, whom she married July 18, 1942, died Oct. 4, 1964.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda (Richard) Keshock of Poland and Barbara Lally of North Lima; a son, Stephen (Celeste) Kolb of St. Cloud, Fla.; two sisters, Pauline Marlos of Canal Fulton and Elaine Kana of Youngstown; a brother, Ed Chizmar of Greenford; 14 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Edward Kolb.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Jude Catholic Church with the Rev. Christopher Cicero officiating. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Austintown.
Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Catholic Church or Hospice of the Valley.
