Another victory for the Clippers

COLUMBIANA–The Columbiana girls basketball team rolled to its 11th consecutive win with a 73-38 victory over Leetonia Thursday.

The Clippers are now 11-0 overall and 7-0 in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference.

Alexis Cross led the way with 25 points and eight rebounds. Taylor Hall also provided a big effort with 21 points. Kennedy Fullum added 15 points and five rebounds.

Kayla Jackson paced the Bears with 14 points.

LISBON–The Lisbon girls basketball team steadily pulled away from Wellsville 55-33 in Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference action Thursday.

The Blue Devils improve to 6-4 overall and 5-2 in the EOAC.

Izzy Perez and Maddie Liberati led the Lisbon scoring with 12 points apiece. Perez dished out seven assists and nabbed six steals. Liberati pulled down seven rebounds.

Chloe Smith added 10 points and four assists for the Blue Devils, while Cadee Johnson had seven points and nine rebounds.

Menina Jackson led the Tigers with 15 points. Hunter Weekley had 10 points.

Lisbon won the jayvee game 34-29. Corinne Freeman had seven points for the Blue Devils. Leah Vinton had six points for the Tigers.

Lisbon is back in action Saturday at home against Mooney. The jayvee game starts at 11 a.m.

EAST PALESTINE–The United girls basketball team prevailed 35-32 over East Palestine is a low-scoring grind Thursday.

Cameron Pierson scored 10 points to lead the Eagles. Hannah Mix added eight points.

Marlaina Frye led the Bulldogs with nine points. Jaliyah Mixon added eight points.

United won the jayvee game 32-17. Morgan Briceland led the Eagles with 14 points. Bailey Davis scored eight points for the Bulldogs.
