Warriors remain perfect
BELOIT — As Div. II’s top ranked team in the state of Ohio, West Branch’s girls basketball team now has a target on its back.
The Warriors fended off Northeastern Buckeye Conference challenger Canton South with a 63-40 victory on Wednesday.
West Branch (11-0 and 8-0 in the NBC) got 12 points and eight rebounds from Hannah Ridgway. Natalie Zuchowski had 16 points to lead the Warriors in the scoring department.
Canton South fell to 7-6 and 3-5.
West Branch won a jayvee game against Barberton 40-26.
