West Branch’s tennis teams played Div. II sectional matches at Struthers and Boardman on Tuesday.

In singles play at Boardman, Elizabeth Ostadali won her opener 6-0, 6-0 over Struthers’ Jonathan Horton. She then lost to Poland’s Ashlin Rabindra 6-1, 6-0. Ursuline’s Greg Morgione beat West Branch’s J.D. Brain, 6-2, 6-3. Justin Cederbloom lost to Poland’s Jim Scotford, 6-0, 6-2.

In doubles play at Struthers, West Branch’s Jeff Legros and Seth Ayers defeated Warren JFK’s Bobby Plisga and Evan Economus 7-6 (7-5), 6-7 (4-7), 7-5 in a two-hour match. That team then lost to Ravenna’s Ben Kovacic and Gage Michael 6-3, 6-1. The West Branch team of Ryan Pitts and Harsh Patel lost to Struthers’ Swan Swiger and Larry DeMarco, 6-2, 7-5.

West Branch will finish the season at United on Monday.
