ALLIANCE — Alliance’s boys golf team topped Salem 175-231 on Tuesday at Sleepy Hollow.
For Salem, Lane Rhodes had a 50, Dylan Ulrich 54, Carter Reid 63 and Nick Colbert 64.
Blake Hood was medalist for Alliance with a 35.
COLUMBIANA — Columbiana’s boys golf team got down to business with win over Leetonia and Lisbon on Tuesday to begin the prep golf season at Valley.
The Clippers shot 159, while Lisbon had a 198 and Leetonia 224.
For Columbiana (2-0), Tyler Anderson had a 35, Riley McElwain 37, Sean Whitehead 42 and Trevor Dearing 45.
For Lisbon (1-1), Austin Craig had a 42, Joey DiLudovico 49, Jeremy Bricker 53 and Brayden Flory 53.
For Leetonia (0-2), Ben Shasteen had a 51, Patrick Hall 55, Tucker Stark 58 and Jayden Herhold 60.
Range wins two
CORTLAND — South Range picked up two wins in a Northeast 8 quad match with Poland, Jefferson and Lakeview on Tuesday at Walnut Run.
Jefferson won with a 174. South Range had a 177. Lakeview posted a 181 and Poland 192.
For the Raiders, Kaiden Sykes had a 42, Gavin Batdorff 43, Garrett Sheets 46 and Phillip Naples 46.
SALEM — United’s golf team opened with a 197-241 win over Wellsville on Tuesday at Buck Run.
For United, Bryce McKenzie had a 48, Brant Hahlen 49, Mikey Bardo 49 and Nevin Hahlen 51.
For Wellsville, Luke Green had a 42, McKenna Rawson 63, Justin Talbert 65 and Evan Cook 71.
United is at Malvern today.
Boardman 194, Columbiana 207
COLUMBIANA — Boardman’s girls golf team beat Columbiana 194-207 on Tuesday at Valley.
Boardman was led by Hannah Coke’s 44.
For Columbiana, Morgan Dunlap had a 48, Jessica Himes 51, Emma Rae Foy 52 and Mackenzie Coder 56.
Columbiana hosts East Palestine today.
NORTH BLOOMFIELD–The Crestview golf team defeated Champion 187-192 Tuesday at Bristolwood Golf Course.
Crestview was led by medalist Ethan McCloskey, who took home a 40. A.J. Robb followed with a 44, while Matt Wollet added a 51 and Emily Hill carded a 52.
The two teams hook up again Thursday at Beaver Meadows.
Quakers finish 11th
PARIS–The Salem girls golf team finished 11th out of 15 teams Tuesday at the Tri-County Girls Preseason Tournament at Pleasant View Golf Club. The Quakers finished with a team total of 432, led by Kelly Hutton with a 95. Sloan Rudibaugh and Lexi Miller each shot 112. Emma Brown added a 113. Marlington came out on top with a total of 325. Louisville was the runner-up with a 327, followed by Tusky Valley with a 332.
