Reserve rocks Lowellville

BERLIN CENTER — On a night made for TV, Western Reserve’s football team was ready for the spotlight in a 55-6 win over Lowellville on Friday.

The Blue Devils improve to 7-1 and 5-0 in the Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference. Lowellville falls to 6-2, 3-2.

The MVAC will likely be decided next week when the Blue Devils travel to unbeaten Springfield.

The Blue Devils outgained the Rockets 401-191 to cruise to the win. The score at the half was 42-0.

Nick Cavoulas completed 11 passes for 156 yards and two touchdowns for the winners.

Lucky Kiesewetter had five carries for 53 yards and a touchdown for Reserve.

Todd Henning caught five balls for 128 yards and a touchdown.

The game was broadcast on tape delay as part of WKBN’s Game of the Week.

Lisbon falls on the road

NEWTON FALLS–The Lisbon football team fell to Newton Falls 28-7 in non-conference action on Friday.

The Blue Devils fall to 1-7 overall. Newton Falls improves to 2-6.

Lisbon resumes Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference play this week when the Blue Devils host Columbiana. Newton Falls is at Liberty.
