West Branch spikes Carrollton

CARROLLTON — Riley Tuel had seven kills, while Jessica Bock had 15 points and three aces as West Branch cracked Carrollton 25-13, 25-12, 25-14 on Tuesday in Eastern Buckeye Conference play.

Elise Wallace added 13 assists for West Branch, which is 16-5 overall and 8-3 EBC.

West Branch won the junior varsity match, 25-14, 18-25, 25-20. Morgan Loudon had 10 points and four aces. Claire Brunner added eight kills.

South Range 3,

Struthers 0

GREENFORD — South Range handled Struthers, 25-21, 25-12, 25-13, Tuesday.

Izzy Lamparty and Anna Primavera each had 10 kills for the Raiders with Lamparty added one ace and three blocks and Primavera nine digs.

Emily Irons contributed four kills, two aces, eight digs and 27 assists; Reagan Irons: two aces, 15 digs and two assists; and Abby George two kills, two digs and five blocks.

For Struthers, Heike Kaurschill had nine kills, 15 digs and two aces, McCartney Walsh eight assists and Le’Ayshia Corinaldi seven assists.

Crestview 3,

Newton Falls 0

COLUMBIANA — Crestview earned a share of the All-American Conference title with a 25-16, 25-14, 25-17 win over Newton Falls on Tuesday.

The Rebels are 19-1 and 11-0 in the league.

For the winners, Tess Neville had 13 kills and nine points. Shelby Rambo added seven kills and five blocks. Molly Emch had six kills. Brenna Auer added five kills, 10 digs and 12 points. Lucy Montgomery had 27 assists.

Crestview won the jayvee match, 25-17, 25-18. Lainey Mercure had eight kills, four digs and five points. Laney Ericson had six kills.

Crestview is at Champion today.

East Palestine 3,

Youngstown East 0

EAST PALESTINE — East Palestine made quick work of Youngstown East 25-16, 25-8, 25-5 on Tuesday.

East Palestine is 14-7.

Emily Berger had 17 points, 15 kills, three aces and three digs for the winners. Paige Snyder added six points, four aces and 11 kills. Jade McBride had 11 points and three digs. Morgan Cheurco had 30 assists.

East Palestine won the jayvee match 25-1, 25-8. Gia Brestelli had 26 points for the Bulldogs.

East Palestine hosts Chaney on Thursday.

Mineral Ridge 3,

Springfield 1

MINERAL RIDGE — Mineral Ridge wrapped up the Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference volleyball title with a 25-16, 12-25, 25-23, 25-21 win Tuesday.

The Rams improve to 20-1 overall and 12-1 in the MVAC, while Springfield moves to 17-4 and 11-3 MVAC.

Mineral Ridge was led by Kate Lesko with 17 kills and 24 digs, Danielle Aulet 36 assists and 17 digs and Maddie Carl 16 digs.

For Springfield, Lindsey Smith had 14 kills and four blocks, Lauren Ranelli 30 assists and Carlee Bacon 26 digs.

Mineral Ridge also won the junior varsity match, 19-25, 25-21, 25-20.
