Salem tickets on sale

SALEM — Tickets for Saturday’s Salem at Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy Division IV football playoff game are on sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily in the Salem High School athletic office and at Quaker Village.

Presale tickets are $8. All tickets at the gate are $9. A portion of the presale goes to the Salem athletic department. The game kicks off at 7 p.m. at Royals Stadium in Cuyahoga Falls.

Twin Springs sold off

GUILFORD LAKE — Twin Springs Golf Course, a fixture in the area since 1962, is done.

The rolling 78-acre, nine-hole course was sold Saturday in five parcels for $522,511 by Kiko Auctioneers. The equipment also was auctioned in the complete liquidation.

Listed are the five parcels along Route 172 and how much they brought:

¯ $127,380 — 3.5 acres with clubhouse, garage and two apartments.

¯ $127,694 — 21.3 acres and half wooded.

¯ $104,313 — 17.4 acres with maintenance building, lake and pond, two-thirds wooded.

¯ $108,674 — 24.8 acres with timber and four greens.

¯ $54,450 — 11 acres with 250-foot frontage.

Clark plays against KSU

KENT — Hiram College freshman guard Joey Clark made his collegiate basketball debut against Kent State University on Wednesday.

Clark, a 2019 graduate of Sebring High School, played the final 63 seconds in Hiram’s 97-58 loss.

Anthony Roberts scored a career-high 18 points and teammate Kalin Bennett, the first player with autism to receive a Division I basketball scholarship, also made his debut to highlight Kent State.

Bennett, a 6-foot-11, 300-pound freshman from Little Rock, Arkansas, entered with game in the final six minutes and scored his first collegiate basket with 2¢ minutes left on a left-handed hook in the paint. He finished 1 of 3 from the floor with two rebounds and a block.
