West Branch 50, Louisville 48 OT

NORTH CANTON — The West Branch girls let a nine-point lead slip away in the fourth quarter, but regrouped for a 50-48 win over Louisville in overtime Saturday.

Peyton Alazaus led the Warriors with 19 points and seven rebounds. Seven other Warriors scored, including Jessica Bock with eight points, Sammie Tuel seven and Hannah Ridgway six.

Cole led the Leopards with 20 points.

West Branch improves to 1-1, while Louisville drops to 2-1.

Louisville won the junior varsity game, 45-38.

South Range 58, Shaw 23

HOWLAND — South Range scored 21 points in the first quarter to beat Shaw, 58-23, in the Tori Ross Spirit Foundation Tournament on Saturday.

Izzy Lamparty led the Raiders with a game-high 18 points and seven rebounds. Lexi Giles and Gabby Lamparty each had 10 points.

Giles and Izzy Lamparty each scored six points and Hannah Heikkinen five in the first quarter to give the Raiders a 21-2 lead.

South Range will play at Lakeview Thursday.
