Clippers march to 10th win

WELLSVILLE — Kayla Muslovski had 27 points and seven steals, while Grace Witmer had 12 points and nine rebounds as Columbiana knocked off Wellsville 77-28 on Thursday in Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference play.

Columbiana is 10-3 and 8-0 in the league. The Clippers lead by three games with four league contests to play.

Wellsville was led by Cameron Carlevale’s 18 points, five blocks, six rebounds and four steals.

Columbiana hosts Jackson-Milton on Monday. Wellsville is at United on Tuesday.

HANOVERTON — Celeste Hofmeister had 18 points to lead United to a 57-25 win over Southern Local on Thursday in Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference play.

United is 8-7 and 5-3 in the EOAC.

Bailey Boosz had 10 points for the Eagles as well.

United limited Southern to five points in the first half.

Ronni Mayfield had seven points to lead the Indians.

United won the jayvee game, 47-11 with Michaela Shasteen scoring 19 points.

United is at Wellsville on Tuesday for a boy-girl doubleheader.

SEBRING — Dani Vuletich had 22 points and 11 rebounds as Western Reserve topped Sebring 88-20 on Thursday in Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference play.

Western Reserve is 12-2 and 8-1 in the MVAC. The Devils play Napoleon at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Classic in the Country.

Brooke Schantz added 16 points. Olivia Pater had 12 points, five rebounds and four steals. Kennedy Miller had seven assists.

Aebi D’ostroph had nine points for Sebring.

GREENFORD — South Range didn’t give up more than eight points in any quarter and beat Lakeview, 51-22, in Northeast 8 action Thursday.

The Raiders opened up a 14-2 lead in the first quarter and never looked back.

Izzy Lamparty led the way with a game-high 20 points, while Lexi Giles added 13.

South Range will play at Hubbard next Thursday.

EAST PALESTINE — Joclyn Fristik scored 22 points and had a three-pointer in every quarter as East Palestine downed Leetonia, 58-38, in Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference play Thursday.

Morgan Rutledge added 16 points, six coming in the first quarter to help give the Bulldogs a 15-4 lead.

Paige Snyder added eight points and eight rebounds and Payton Sherry collected 10 rebounds and seven assists.

Anna Buffone topped the Bears with 13 points.

Leetonia won the junior varsity game, 12-10.

Both teams play Thursday with East Palestine visitng Southern and Leetonia hosting Lisbon.
