Trojans drop in poll
COLUMBUS — It was a steep fall for the Sebring basketball team in the Associated Press state boys basketball poll released on Monday.
The Trojans started last week as the No. 2 team in Div. IV but losses to Lowellville and McDonald plunged the 9-2 team to No. 11 in this week’s poll.
Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference co-leaders McDonald (10-1) rose to No. 7.
Sebring did maintain one of two first-place votes given a week ago.
The Trojans were not the only Mahoning County team garnering love from the voters.
Boardman (8-0) is No. 10 in Div. I and Struthers (8-1) is No. 14 in Div. II.
