Salem girls notch seventh

SALEM — Casey Johnson and Kyla Jamison combined for 17 points in Salem’s 22-point fourth quarter during a 54-29 win over pesky Alliance on Saturday afternoon.

The Quakers led 32-26 after three quarters, before holding Alliance to three points in the fourth quarter.

Jamison scored a game-high 18 points and Johnson added 12.

Salem improves to 7-6 overall and 5-3 in the Eastern Buckeye Conference, while Alliance drops to 1-11 and 0-6 EBC.

Salem won the junior varsity game, 62-19, with four players getting in double figures. Jenna McClish led the Quakers with 20 points, followed by Krista Barley with 11 and Alanee Davidson and Zoie Reid each with 10.

Both teams play Wednesday with Salem at Minerva and Alliance at East Liverpool.
