West Branch outlasts Hubbard

BELOIT–The West Branch boys basketball team outlasted Hubbard 63-58 in overtime Saturday.

The Warriors (ranked 13th in Div. II) improve to 12-3 overall. Hubbard falls to 5-9.

Reese Leone led the Warriors with 18 points, while Nick Everett had 17 points. Dru DeShields added 11 points.

The Warriors withstood a huge game from Hubbard’s Cam Resatar, who exploded for 35 points. The Eagles were held to just two points in overtime.

West Branch won the jv game 49-28.

The Warriors host Marlington Tuesday.

Sebring 58, Southeast 55

RAVENNA–Gabe Lanzer and Carson Rouse each scored 17 points as the Sebring boys basketball team edged Ravenna Southeast 58-55 Saturday.

Rouse added six rebounds, while Lanzer had five rebounds for the Trojans, who improve to 12-4 overall. Southeast falls to 5-11.

Also for Sebring, Jake Hunter socred eight points and dished out 10 assists. Frankie Lozoya had eight points.

Southeast won the jv game 59-46.

The Trojans are at Jackson-Milton Tuesday.
