Fives across the board

BELOIT — West Branch connected on 11 three-pointers, but only needed a couple Thursday.

The top-seeded Warriors routed ninth-seeded Ravenna, 55-5, in a Division II sectional final.

West Branch led 37-2 at halftime and 51-2 after three quarters.

Peyton Alazaus had a game-high 24 points, including six three-pointers. Anna Lippiatt had three three-pointers for nine points and Hannah Ridgway returned to the lineup with seven points.

West Branch has won 12 of its last 13 games to improve to 20-3 on the season. The Warriors open district action against rival Salem at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday at Austintown Fitch High School. The Warriors downed Salem twice during the regulars season on the way to the Eastern Buckeye Conference title.

Ravenna finishes with an 12-12 record, including a 60-33 loss to Canfield on Dec. 9.
