West Branch grabs 18th victory

BELOIT — West Branch made short work of Austintown Fitch with a 57-29 win on Saturday.

Peyton Alazaus had 14 points to lead the 18-2 Warriors. Fitch fell to 8-12.

Carly Scarpitti added 11 points.

West Branch won the jayvee game, 33-23.

West Branch hosts McDonald today.

Jackson-Milton 51, Lisbon 38

LISBON — Jackson-Milton knocked off Lisbon 51-38 on Saturday in girls basketball action.

Lisbon fell to 10-10.

Maddie Liberati had 19 points and nine boards for the Devils. She is now the school’s career leader in rebounds with 711. Dawn Marple (class of 1989) held the previous mark of 687 and was eclipsed by Liberati in the game against East Palestine on Feb. 6. Liberati also shares the school’s single game rebound mark of 21 (set on Jan. 9 against East Palestine) with Jessica Dowd (class of 1997).

Bryanna VanGiesen had 13 points. Izzy Perez had 11 assists and eight rebounds.

Grace McDevitt had 16 points for the winners.

Lisbon is at Beaver Local today.

COLUMBIANA — Krista Perry had 13 points, seven rebounds and three blocks as Crestview controlled LaBrae 51-39 on Saturday in All-American Conference play.

Crestview improves to 14-6 and 6-5 in the league. The Rebels travel to league-leading Liberty today.

Mara Halas had nine points, eight rebounds and four assists, wile Tanner Hoffer had 10 points, five rebounds and three steals. Addison Bandy had five boards, Aston Hughes had eight points and four steals.

Crestview won the two-quarter jayvee portion, 28-17. Laney Ericson had nine points for the Rebels.

NAVARRE — Minerva’s girls basketball team guaranteed a .500 or better regular season finish with a 46-31 win over Fairless on Saturday.

Elyssa Imler had 13 points for the winners, 11-10. Coletta Miller added nine points and eight rebounds.

Minerva won the two-quarter jayvee game, 21-16.

RAVENNA — Southeast’s girls basketball team knocked off Columbiana 54-25 on Saturday.

Columbiana, champion of the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference, falls to 16-4.

Columbiana is at Mineral Ridge on Monday.

BOYS HOOPS

Crestview 55, Wellsville 49

WELLSVILLE — Drake Golden had 21 points and 13 rebounds as Crestview scored a 55-49 win over Wellsville on Saturday night.

Anthony Cusick added 11 points for the Rebels (6-13) with Jack Yerkey tallying 10 points.

Darien Suggs powered Wellsville with 22 points. Luke Green added 18 points.

The Tigers are 9-10 and host Indian Creek on Tuesday. Crestview hosts LaBrae on Tuesday.

Wellsville won the two-quarter jayvee game, 26-17.
