Meet in Columbiana

COLUMBIANA — Columbiana High School will host a second Suburban League replacement meet today.

High school cross country steams scheduled to compete are host Columbiana, Beaver Local, Brookfield, Crestview, East Liverpool, Eat Palestine, Heartland Christian, Jackson-Milton, Leetonia, Lisbon, Mathews, Mooney, Newton Falls, Sebring, Southern, Struthers and Ursuline.

The high school girls race will start at 4:30 p.m. at the Ward Athletic Complex, followed by the high school boys race at 5:10 p.m., middle school girls race at 5:45 p.m. and middle school boys race at 6:10 p.m.

Spectators will be limited to two per athlete due to COVID-19 restrictions.

State ranked volleyball teams

COLUMBUS — Several area volleyball teams were ranked in the latest Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches Association state poll released on Monday.

Beaver Local is ranked 11th in Div. II. East Liverpool is 17th.

Wellsville was tied for 17th in Div. IV.

Soccer coaches announce rankings

COLUMBUS — Two area soccer teams cracked the Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Associaton state polls released on Monday. In Div. III, the Crestview boys soccer team (9-0-0) sits at No. 6, up from No. 8 a week ago. In Div. II, the West Branch girls soccer team (7-0-1) is No. 7 after tying No. 15 Canfield 1-1 on Saturday.
