Holtz tests positive for COVID
College Football Hall of Fame coach Lou Holtz told a Columbia, South Carolina, TV station on Thursday that he has tested positive for COVID-19.
The 83-year-old Holtz, a 1954 graduate of East Liverpool High School, is symptomatic and said he does not have a lot of energy at the moment.
Holtz received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Donald Trump earlier this year.
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The home opener for the West Virginia University men’s basketball team against Youngstown State on Dec. 2 has been postponed due to the Penguins pausing team activities related to COVID-19.
The two schools are hoping to reschedule the game with a mutually agreeable date in December.
Campbell won’t play games
CAMPBELL — Due to Campbell Memorial going to remote learning, two girls basketball games with local teams have been postponed.
Campbell’s games at Sebring today and at Leetonia on Nov. 28 will not be played. Campbell High School has five confirmed COVID-19 positive cases — two students and three teachers — according to the school website.
