BELOIT — A Tanner Egli hit in the bottom of the 12th scored Brock Hillyer as West Branch downed Alliance 1-0 on Tuesday.

West Branch is 2-0.

David Cunningham has 15 strikeouts for the winners, while Dru DeShields added seven in four innings of relief.

Gavin Bruni had 14 strikeouts for the Aviators, 0-4.

SALEM — Salem’s baseball team downed Minerva 6-2 under the lights on Monday evening at Salem High School.

Darius Beck led the Quakers (1-1) with two hits. Gavin Wilms had two RBIs.

Lane Rhodes struck out eight in five innings of work for the Quakers.

Salem is scheduled to play at Minerva today.

Crestview 11, Campbell 1

COLUMBIANA — Carter Blakeman and Kyle Saunders had two hits each as Crestview ripped Campbell 11-1 on Tuesday in Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference play.

Saunders added a double and two RBIs and Jesse McKee had three RBIs.

Crestview is 1-1 and 1-0 in the league.

Campbell is 3-1, 0-1.

Crestview plays Campbell at 5 p.m. today at Cene Park.

Billy Skirpac had three hits with Try Pancake and Michael Perry coming through with two hits each.

South Range is 2-0 and will be back in action on Tuesday for a spring break game in Myrtle Beach.
