Lisbon thwarted by Windham

WINDHAM — Windham rushed for 337 yards as a team as the Bombers downed Lisbon 27-13 on Friday.

Trevor Siefke scored on a 5 yard run for the Blue Devils, 0-1. Haiden Colvin added a 4-yard scamper for a score with 23 seconds left in the game.

Colvin had 10 carries for 53 yards.

Lisbon was limited 148 yards of total offense.

Lisbon hosts Mineral Ridge on Friday.

Windham is at East Palestine on Friday.

MALVERN — East Palestine suffered a 55-0 loss to Malvern in the season opener on Friday.

The Bulldogs fell behind 27-0 in the first quarter.

Columbiana 27

COLUMBIANA — Columbiana’s football season got off on the right foot on Friday at Firestone Stadium.

Columbiana returned an interception for a touchdown on the first play of the game but Lowellville quickly turned it around in a 50-27 win.

Vinny Ballone bounced back for the Rockets and had three touchdown passes in the first quarter.

The Rockets led 18-7 at the end of the first quarter and 44-27 at the end of the third quarter.

Columbiana is at McDonald on Friday.
