Quakers blank Clippers

COLUMBIANA — Salem’s girls soccer team is not letting off the gas.

Rylee Hutton banged in four goals and Abby Perry had four assists as the Quakers downed Columbiana 8-0 on Monday.

Salem is 7-0 and is ranked 15th in Div. II in the latest Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association poll.

Abbie Davidson, Perry, Hanna Gaither and Lauryn Barton all also contributed goals. Gaither and Ilani Jones-Wallace each had one assist. Sam Moore only had to make one save in goal due to the efforts of Bri Cibula, Annika Murray and Krista Barley on defense.

Salem hosts Carrollton on Wednesday.

The Quakers have outscored opponents 32-5 this season.

Salem 2, Carrollton 0

CARROLLTON — Salem’s boys soccer team was a 2-0 winner over Carrollton on Monday.

The Quakers moved to 5-4-0 and 2-1-0 in the Eastern Buckeye Conference.

Camden Sampson and Lance Bailey scored for the winners. Kade Pasco had an assist. Salem will host Southeast on Thursday.

West Branch 8, Minerva 1

MINERVA — West Branch’s girls soccer team ripped Minerva 8-1 on Monday.

Abby Jones and Daphne Snyder had two goals each for the winners. Chloe Dennison, Kennedy Berger, Lauren Gossett and Sarah Bungard added goals.

Kennedy Berger and Dennison had two assists each. Jones, Sophia Gregory and Lauren Gossett had assists. Gloriana Maendel had two saves in goal.

West Branch is 4-1-2 and will host Alliance on Wednesday.
