West Branch blanks United

BELOIT — Chloe Dennison had two goals and one assist to lead West Branch past United, 5-0, in girls soccer action Saturday.

Bri Thomas also had one goal and one assist, Addy Jones and Kennedy Berger also scored goals. Daphne Snyder and Makenna Lins added assists.

For the Eagles, Katie Dees made 12 saves and Allison Connor two saves.

United will play at Columbiana today, while West Branch (6-3-2) hosts Canton South on Wednesday.

Howland 12, West Branch 0

HOWLAND — Ten players scored goals as top-ranked Howland blanked West Branch, 12-0, in boys soccer action Saturday.

Howland, the defending Division II state champion, improved to 8-1 after having its 27-match winning streak snapped by Boardman on Tuesday.
