United 2, East Liverpool 1

EAST LIVERPOOL — United did just enough to outduel East Liverpool on Monday by topping the Potters 2-1.

United Local improved to 11-3-1 with the win. Louden Stryffeler scored both goals for United off assists from Ethan Stout. Ethan Hively recorded six saves.

United hosts Canton Central Catholic on Thursday.

The Potters (7-4-3) did get a goal from Jacob Myers on a penalty kick. Goalie Cole Bailey had seven saves as well.

Columbiana 3,

Heartland Christian 1

COLUMBIANA –Columbiana boys soccer clipped Heartland Christian on Monday night, 3-1.

For the Clippers, Drake Daugherty had two goals and one assist. James Porter had a goal. Aidan Radcliff and Lucas Horne each added an assist. In goal, Dylan Hogan had three saves and Nate Burnell had two saves.

The Clippers (6-8) travel to Mineral Ridge on Thursday.

Salem 3, Ursuline 0

SALEM — Salem concluded its home schedule with 3-0 victory over Ursuline on Monday night.

Rylee Hutton scored two of the Quakers’ goals. Clara Double added a goal as well for Salem (15-1).

Salem’s Abby Perry had an assist and goalie Sam Moore collected five saves.

Salem set the school record for wins in a season.

In the JV game, the Quakers won 2-0. Lauryn Barton and Riley Flickinger each posted a goal.

Kaylee Carlise and Ronalda Schumann each had an assist. Carlise had a save in net.

The JV Quakers are now 3-0-3.

Salem ends the regular season at West Branch on Wednesday. JV begins at 5 p.m. and varsity kicks off at 6:30 p.m. This match will decide the Eastern Buckeye Conference title.

Badger 8, Columbiana 2

COLUMBIANA — Badger defeated Columbiana’s girls team 8-2 on Monday.

Columbiana falls to 7-8.

Crestview 6, Waterloo 3

COLUMBIANA — Crestview’s Maci Shaffer shined on senior night by driving in all six goals past Waterloo in a 6-3 victory on Monday.

For the Rebels (8-8), Rylee Shaffer had three assists, and Sophia Carr, Karagin Miller, and Bailey Wonner all contributed solo assists as well. Goalkeeper Lexie Huff had seven saves.

Shaffer has 48 goals on the season.

As for Waterloo (4-3-2), Kaira English scored two goals and Mya Bennett had a solo goal.

The Rebels will travel to Champion on Wednesday for another MVAC matchup.
