WELLSVILLE — Columbiana’s girls basketball team added another lopsided Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference win to its total as the Clippers raced past Wellsville 55-26 on Tuesday.

The Clippers are 12-0 and 6-0 in the conference. Columbiana leads the league by a game over second-place United which it beat 58-5 on Monday.

Ava Heinrich lead the Clippers with 18 points, all from three-pointers. Annah Clemmer continued her good run of play in the post with 12 points.

Bella Poppelriter led the Tigers (5-7, 4-3) with 17 points. Kenzie Bosco had six rebounds and Myleigh Jackson added five boards.

Wellsville hosts Lisbon on Thursday, while Columbiana is at Leetonia.

COLUMBIANA — Crestview’s girls basketball team bounced Champion 60-18 on Tuesday.

The Rebels are 9-3 and 4-0 in the league. Crestview hosts Garfield on Thursday as part of a boy-girl doubleheader. Crestview’s girls will follow the boys game.

Luvrain Gaskins led the Rebels with 22 points, 12 rebounds and four steals. Addison Rhodes added 17 points, five assists and three steals.

Brianna DiCross had four points, six assists and three steals, while Myer Miller had three assists.

Crestview won the two quarter jayvee game, 12-8. Lainey Milhoan had eight points for the Rebels.
