Clippers crush Salem
COLUMBIANA — Columbiana put five across in the fifth to rout Salem 9-0 on Thursday at Firestone Park.
Cameron Perkins led the Clippers with two hits and three RBIs. Ella Dota, Caitlynn Pleska and Alivia Bell had two hits each for the winners.
Addison Brode was the winning pitcher with five strikeouts and a walk in seven innings.
Emilee Lewis had both of Salem’s hits.
Morgane Blaine took the loss with six strikeouts and two walks in four innings.
Columbiana (5-3) is scheduled to host Boardman today.
Salem (1-4) is scheduled to host Hubbard on Saturday.

CAMPBELL — Crestview’s softball team outlasted Campbell Memorial 14-4 on Thursday.
Makayla McKee had three hits including two doubles and six RBIs to lead the winners. Brenna Figley added three hits including a double and two RBIs. Lainey Milhoan had three hits including two doubles and an RBI.
McKee was the winning pitcher with eight strikeouts and a walk.
Crestview is 6-1 and is at Liberty on Monday.

STEUBENVILLE — Lisbon picked up its second win of the season by downing Steubenville Catholic Central 12-2 on Thursday.
For the Devils (2-5), Abby Ammon had three hits including a double with three RBIs. Emelia Cook added a double, two singles and an RBI. Lexi Roush had a single, double and an RBI.
Kamryn Peruchetti got the win with four strikeouts and two walks in seven innings.
Lisbon is scheduled to play at Heartland today.

HOWLAND — Ellie Tucker had two hits including an inside-the-park home run as West Branch handled Howland 12-4 on Thursday.
Mati Hawk added three hits and an RBI. Klary McKay had a single, double and three RBIs. Addi Craven had three hits including a double with an RBI.
Tucker was also the winning pitcher with two strikeouts and two walks in four innings.
West Branch (3-1) hosts South Range today.

TORONTO — A walk-off single by Toronto in the seventh led the Red Knights to a 5-4 win over East Palestine on Thursday.
Maddison Foster led the Bulldogs with a home run and two RBIs. Kennedy Andre had two hits and was the losing pitcher.
Andre clocked five strikeouts and five walks in 6 2/3 innings.
East Palestine is 2-2 and hosts United on Monday.
