Lewis tosses no-no

SALEM — Salem’s softball team had quite the senior day as the Quakers poured it on in a 15-0 win over Lisbon on Saturday.

Emilee Lewis threw the fourth no-hitter since 1990 in Salem softball history with 12 strikeouts. She joins Shannon Leininger, Taylor Thorpe and Morgane Blaine in accomplishing that feat.

Channing Toy went 3 for 3 with a triple on offense. Sareney Wang singled and scored a run, while Sophie Maniscalco also singled. Aniston Sinkovich singled and scored a run as well. Olivia Lewis had two singles. Lewis had two RBIs.

Kamryn Peruchetti took the loss for the Devils with five strikeouts and two walks over four innings.

Salem is 7-10-1 and will be at Struthers today.

Lisbon is 6-12 and hosts Wellsville today.

Lakeview 7, West Branch 0

BELOIT — West Branch was limited to one hit in a 7-0 loss to Lakeview on Saturday.

Anthony Perry had a double to lead the Warriors, 5-8.

Trevor Minich took the loss with no strikeouts and a walk in two innings.

West Branch hosts Mooney today.
