COLUMBIANA — Emilee Lewis hit a home run in the eighth inning to lift Salem to a 5-4 win over Crestview on Saturday.
Channing Toy added a home run and three RBIs for the Quakers.
Lewis was also the winning pitcher with nine strikeouts and three walks in eight innings.
Chloe Stoops and Makayla McKee had two hits each for the Rebels. Rylee Cloutier had a triple.
McKee took the loss with 12 strikeouts and a walk in eight innings.
Salem is 4-5 and has won three straight. The Quakers are at Girard on Tuesday.
Crestview (8-2) hosts Southeast today.

YOUNGSTOWN — Maplewood snapped United’s seven-game winning streak to start the season with a 16-1 win on Saturday at Youngstown State University.
Callie Koons and Caitlyn Roller had the only hits for the Eagles, 7-1.
Jillian Dietrich took the loss with five strikeouts and four walks in 6 2/3 innings.
Maplewood’s Addison Marker was masterful with 13 strikeouts.

CANFIELD — Akron Hoban made an early four-run lead hold up in a 9-6 win over West Branch on Saturday at McCune Park.
Ellie Tucker had three hits to pace West Branch. Addi Craven and Carly Loper had home runs for the Warriors. Zoe Metzgar had a double.
Klary McKay took the loss with two strikeouts and two walks in three innings.

CANFIELD — Mati Hawk had a single, double and three RBIs in West Branch’s 14-4 win over St. Joseph in six innings on Saturday at McCune Park.
Klary McKay added a single, double and two RBIs. Carly Loper had a triple and RBI. Zoe Metzgar had a double, while Addi Craven had a single, double and an RBI.
Ellie Tucker got the win with no stikeouts and two walks in 3 2/3 innings.
