Warriors come to play against rival Salem

SALEM –Klary McKay had a home run, while Ellie Tucker was solid in relief with eight strikeouts in five innings as West Branch cracked Salem 9-4 on Tuesday.

Channing Toy had four hits for the Quakers. Emilee Lewis took the loss with two strikeouts and four walks in three innings.

Tucker added two hits and an RBI for the Warriors. Libbie Davis had two hits and two RBIs.

West Branch is 10-3 and 4-0 in the Eastern Buckeye Conference.

Salem fell to 6-9-1 and 2-2-1 in the EBC.

Salem is set to host Alliance on Thursday, while West Branch will host Minerva on Thursday.

WARREN — Penn State University recruit Gabby Gradishar had 12 strikeouts and limited Crestview to one hit in Champion’s 11-1 win over the Rebels in five innings on Tuesday.

At the plate Gradishar had a home run, double and four RBIs.

Brenna Figley had both of Crestview’s hits.

Makayla McKee took the loss with a strikeout and two walks in two innings.

Crestview (10-5) will host Poland on Thursday.
