HUBBARD — Ashley Masluk’s two-run single in the first inning gave Hubbard a 2-1 win over Salem on Tuesday.

Hubbard won its third in a row to improve to 15-9, while Salem drops to 10-15.

Kayllee Schultz was the winning pitcher, tossing four shutout innings. She struck out six and walked none. Haleigh Taylor pitched the last three innings, giving up one unearned run with five strikeouts and two walks.

Emilee Lewis tossed a four-hitter in the loss. She struck out five and walked four.

Sareney Wang singled and scored Salem’s run.

Salem will host Firelands in a Division IV sectional opener Thursday.
