Salem Fire Department first responders treat 71-year-old Karen Burlingame of Lisbon after the scooter she rode out of the Salem Walmart store to cross the crosswalk in front of the Home & Business doors at 1:52 p.m. Wednesday was struck by a 2017 Jeep attempting to turn from a parking lot aisle to cross the front of the business. The police report said the driver, Amy Ondrejko, 61, of Lisbon, failed to see the woman in the scooter. Burlingame was transported by KLG Ambulance to Salem Regional Medical Center, where a spokesman said she was being treated and in stable condition Wednesday afternoon.
