Sheriff’s Office — A deputy was dispatched at 11:10 p.m. Wednesday to Knox School Road at Georgetown Road, Knox Township, for an injured deer on the side of the roadway, but didn’t find the deer. — Deputies arrived at 10:18 p.m. Wednesday at Pleasant Valley Mobile Home park, Creek Road, New Waterford, for a disturbance complaint of unknown people yelling to call 911. FIRE

Salem — A stove fire was reported in the 200 block of West 12th Street at 7:53 p.m. Thursday. When firefighters arrived, the resident advised that the auto ignition for the stove was stuck on and they had turned off the breaker and extinguished the fire prior to firefighters’ arrival. No excessive heat or smoke was found in the home, and the homeowner was advised to keep the stove off and contact an electrician or stove maintenance.
