LISBON -- A Leetonia teenager pleaded guilty to fourth-degree felony burglary on Tuesday in Common Pleas Court.
Isaac J. Wylie, 19, Miller Road, Leetonia, had been charged with a second-degree felony burglary charge, but agreed to plead guilty to the lesser included fourth-degree felony burglary.
On Dec. 18, 2017, Wylie entered the home of Nicole Thompson, Sherman Street, Lisbon, with the purpose of committing a criminal offense. Court documents show at that time, Wylie may have been living at a North Beaver Street, Lisbon, address.
According to Assistant County Prosecutor Ryan Weikart, while Wylie was inside Thompson's home, he took items including video games, a blu-ray player, a bluetooth speaker and miscellaneous jewelry.
Because he pleaded guilty to the fourth-degree felony and is not believed to have prior felony convictions, Wylie may be eligible for the community control presumption.
Judge Megan Bickerton requested a pre-sentencing investigation before determining Wylie's sentence, which could be a maximum of 18 months in prison and a $5,000 fine. Additionally, Bickerton said the felony plea agreement includes an understanding Wylie will agree to pay restitution for the items taken.
Sentencing is set for April 29.
