Senior Day planned at Whispering Pines Village

COLUMBIANA–Senior Day will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 17 at Whispering Pines Village on East Park in Columbiana. Red Cross swim lessons set at Community Center

SALEM–The Salem Community Center will host another session of the popular American Red Cross Swim Lesson program running Monday through Thursday July 15 to 25. Six Learn to Swim levels are available, along with a Mommy and Me level for infants and their parent. Instructors are American Red Cross WSI certified with years of experience. Cost is $70 for non-members and $55 for members. A multiple child discount is available. Salem school board to meet Monday morning

SALEM– The Salem Board of Education will meet at 8 a.m. Monday at the Salem High School Room 134. The school board will go into Executive Session for the purpose of the purchase of property for public purposes or the sale of property at competitive bidding. No action will be taken.

MAPS speaker to talk about journey to stars

LISBON– Lepper Library will host Reed Kimball, director of education at the MAPS Air Museum in North Canton, at 1 p.m. July 20. Kimball will give a presentation on people that first dreamed about reaching the stars, some of the steps and missteps taken to get there, and where the dreamers envision we might go in the future.
