-- Police responded to the 1500 block of Southeast Boulevard at 2:43 p.m. Monday for a well-being check on a male subject. The complainant advised her uncle has health issues and was not responding to messages. He said everything was OK when contacted and would contact his niece.
-- At 2:47 p.m. Monday, police responded to the 2800 block of East State Street where two dogs were reportedly left in a vehicle. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.
-- At 3:24 p.m. Monday, police responded to the 200 block of South Lincoln Avenue where a store employee advised that a known man attempted to purchase alcohol and saw that she was working and made several inappropriate statements to her and left.
-- Police responded to the 1000 block of East Third Street at 5:02 p.m. Monday for a report of several dogs in the backyard of a residence that wouldn't stop barking and had been left outside for several days. Police made contact with the resident and gave a verbal warning to the woman there.
-- At 5:55 p.m. Monday, police responded to the 300 block of South Union Avenue for a possible criminal trespass where the complainant advised juveniles were going in and out of a vacant residence. The juveniles were gone when police arrived and a note was left for the zoning officer to make sure the residence was secured.
-- At 6 p.m. Monday, police responded to the 500 block of East Third Street for a report of two people who appeared to be on drugs. Police observed two males who appeared to have passed out in a vehicle. First responders were notified. The two said they were just sleeping and were asked to exit the vehicle and were checked for weapons and two knives were located on both. The K-9 indicated a narcotic odor and a vehicle search located a cane within reach of the driver with a sword-like object concealed inside. The driver, Robert J. Mohr, 2105 Burbank Ave., Youngstown, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and taken to the county jail. The passenger, John R. Mohr, 174 W. 5th St., Salem, was cited for possession of marijuana, a minor misdemeanour.
-- At 7:08 p.m. Monday, police responded to the 1900 block of Maple Street where the complainant advised the hospital contacted her about winning a vacation. She said she had not been in the hospital and she provided no personal information. An officer attempted to call the phone number and it was disconnected.
-- Police in the 600 block of East Second Street at 7:14 p.m. Monday, were flagged by a resident about a suspicious person. Police located the person and advised them not to contact or cause alarm to people.
-- At 7:26 p.m. Monday, police responded to the 100 block of East Fifth Street regarding a criminal trespassing complaint in a vacant residence and found the landlord was doing repairs in the house.
-- Police responded to the 1100 block of Short Avenue at 7:40 p.m. Monday where a gas-powered scooter was in the roadway and advised the people to keep it off the road.
-- Police responded to the 1200 block of Southeast Boulevard at 7:48 p.m. Monday, where the mother said her son ran out of the house yelling. Police spoke with the juvenile and advised the complainant to speak with the juvenile about it.
-- At 8:05 p.m. Monday, police responded to the 500 block of East Third Street while on the scene for a different incident and the complainant made police aware of harassment, reporting an unknown man driving a black truck was making threats toward him. The K-9 on the scene indicated a narcotic odor on a bike the complainant had possession of but nothing illegal was found.
-- Police responded to the 300 block of Woodland Ave. at 8:06 p.m. where the complainant advised they could smell the odor of marijuana and police were unable to locate the source.
Police responded to the 900 block of West State Street at 9 p.m. and checked a business and everything appeared to be secure.
-- At 9:08 p.m. Monday, police responded to the 300 block of Newgarden Avenue for a warrant check with the Columbiana County sheriff. The person who was wanted resided in the basement and the K-9 was used for security and cleared the basement.
LISBON
-- James DeCapua of Poland reported his car was damaged by another vehicle while he was attending the Numbers Brewery block party on North Beaver Street on Saturday.
-- Jim Harter, North Market Street, reported Aug. 24 that several juveniles entered an upstairs apartment. There were no juveniles around when the officer arrived.
