-- Helen M. Clutter, Glasgow Road, Madison Township, reported Monday sometime over the weekend someone damaged her mailbox.
-- Deputies were called to a Buzzard Road home in Madison Township for a domestic dispute at 8:54 a.m. Monday. A 39-year-old woman reported she was assaulted by a child. The child was charged and taken to the Tobin Center.
-- Melissa Dial, Walker Road, West Township, reported at 7:03 a.m. Monday she had come home at 5:30 p.m. Sunday and found the door to her home ajar. She did not find anything to be missing or stolen, but she wanted it documented.
-- A woman reported at 12:36 p.m. Monday she had allowed her son to go with his father last Wednesday and there was no required date or time of return. However, she decided she wanted him back in the morning on Monday and told the father over the phone. He denied her request and said he would bring the boy back at about 5 p.m. Monday. Deputies explained they should file visitation and custodial documents through juvenile court so a court order is in place, then she would need to follow that.
-- A woman with a warrant was brought to the sheriff's office by a bonding agency at 1:43 a.m. Monday. While walking up to the jail, the woman informed a deputy she had suboxone with her. The suboxone was collected as evidence.
-- Sally Jo Stanley, Leslie Road, Lisbon, reported at 11:10 a.m. Friday she has a physically disabled child and they currently have state funds for making modifications to the house and equipment to facilitate the child remaining in the home. While there to work on the bathroom a man from T-Tek questioned why Stanley was not using a Hoyer Lift the state had him drop off in 2016. She told him she did not have room for it and it was in a closet. He said he would take a motor from the lift and check it to make sure it was in working order. Now he had not returned with the motor and denies he took it.
-- Kerri Jean White, Depot Road, Salem, reported at 8:50 a.m. Friday someone destroyed her mailbox overnight and she suspected a woman seeing her ex, who she saw in the area Thursday night.
-- Suspicious people walking on the roadway with the vehicle parked in a random driveway in the area of Teegarden and McCracken Roads were reported on Friday. Three people were spotted at Eagleton Park by Sgt. Jeff Haugh, who then turned around to go speak to them. When he returned there was only one man, Matthew Crowl, there and he was acting nervous and possibly as if he was on some sort of drug. Haugh asked him who the other two were and where they went. Eventually deputies learned one of them was Sarah Sines, who there was a warrant for her arrest. Deputies brought K-9 Jesy and after they announced the dog arrived, Sines came out of the woods and was taken into custody. Samuel Crowl, the other person, was not located. The vehicle was towed.
-- A possible break in was reported at Rogers Sale at 1:22 a.m. Saturday. Deputies checked the area, but did not find anything which appeared to have been entered.
-- Deputies were asked to assist a Leetonia police officer on Lisbon Canfield Road near the train tracks at 2:36 a.m. Saturday. The Leetonia officer was outside of his jurisdiction with a man handcuffed. The officer told the deputy he was checking out something about the train and noticed a truck sitting near the tracks. He then found the man and his girlfriend in the truck with a strong odor of marijuana coming out of it. The officer detained the man and searched the vehicle finding marijuana and glass smoking pipes. The deputy released the man and had the officer dispose of the drugs and paraphernalia due to the fact the deputy, whose jurisdiction it was, did not do the search which he said tainted the evidence.
-- Diana Howard, Failor Road, East Palestine, reported there was a domestic violence incident at 2:13 a.m. Sunday and she was assaulted by her live-in boyfriend.
