-- A resident in the 37000 block of Butcher Road reported at 6:33 p.m. Friday that someone entered his locked garage within the past week and removed several tools, including two air paint guns, socket set, air impact tools and a jack stand.
-- A resident in the 36000 block of Butcher Road reported at 8:13 p.m. Thursday that he received a call from a collection agency regarding a past due Dish Network account. Sometime in 2015, someone opened an account in his name in Pennsylvania and ran the bill up to $1,767.

-- Police responded to the 2300 block of East State Street at 11:16 a.m. Saturday for a report of juveniles making bicycle ramps out of wood pallets. The juveniles were found, told about the complaint and apologized. They said they would put the pallets back.
-- A woman in the 100 block of Woodland Avenue reported at 8:36 a.m. Saturday that someone egged her car parked in the street.
-- A cell phone located inside the city was turned over to police at 8:33 a.m. Saturday and placed in the lost and found.
-- Julia McFarland, 23, of North Ellsworth Avenue, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence and failure to control after a traffic stop at 7:42 a.m. Saturday in the area of Jennings Avenue and West Eighth Street. She was processed and released to her mother.
-- A woman in the 300 block of East Third Street reported at 6:15 a.m. Saturday that her daughter's boyfriend keeps calling her and saying nothing, just breathing. Officers spoke to him and told him to cease contact with her.
-- Police responded to an audible alarm at KFC, 156 N. Lincoln Ave., and found the exterior secure.
-- An open door was reported at a business at 2262 E. State St., where Tim Hortons and Sherwin-Williams are located. Police found a door slightly ajar and checked the interior, finding everything secure. The door was secured.
-- Audible alarms were reported at the Salem Industrial Park at 3:09 a.m. Saturday and the 100 block of West State Street at 12:24 a.m. Saturday, with everything appearing OK.
-- Kevin Mutton, 39, of Salem-Warren Road, was cited for driving under suspension after a traffic stop at 11:56 p.m. Friday in the 1200 block of North Ellsworth Avenue when an officer performed a random vehicle registration check. K-9 Simon was deployed and did not indicate to any presence of a narcotic odor coming from the vehicle.
-- A fight in progress was reported at 11:43 p.m. Friday in the 600 block of Franklin Avenue. Juveniles were just playing in the front yard of a property.
-- K-9 Simon was requested at 11:23 p.m. Friday to assist the Ohio State Highway Patrol with a vehicle stop on the state Route 45 bypass at Benton Road. He did not indicate to the presence of a narcotic odor.
-- K-9 Simon was requested at 9:20 p.m. Friday by Leetonia Police for a free air sniff on Main Street near Walnut Street. K-9 Simon did not alert to the presence of a narcotic odor, but during a consent search, Leetonia Police did recover a trace amount of a white substance.
-- Police were called at 8:37 p.m. Friday to the 300 block of East Third Street where a male victim said he was slapped in the face by another male who left and several items were broken during the altercation. The victim and witnesses were all intoxicated and told to provide written statements in the morning. The male who left was contacted and told police the male victim started the altercation. He said he left when asked to leave by the resident. He was also asked to provide a statement in the morning since he was intoxicated.
-- Police responded at 8:31 p.m. Friday to the 200 block of North Madison Avenue for a well-being check, but no contact was made.
-- A dog was reported at large at 8:04 p.m. Friday in the 1100 block of Newgarden Avenue. The woman who called said her dog somehow got out of the fenced-in back yard. The dog was found before police arrived.
-- A woman in the 600 block of Cherry Street reported at 7:37 p.m. Friday that she was taking care of her son's children and he's causing a dispute. She was told what actions to take regarding the custody issue.
-- A woman came to the police station at 7 p.m. Friday regarding a theft she believed occurred while she was at work during the night on Bentley Drive. She had cashed her paycheck and kept it in her purse until she could get to the bank. Police are investigating.
-- A case of telecommunications harassment was reported at 6:17 p.m. Friday in the 1200 block of Southeast Boulevard where a woman said a male arrived at her residence but left before officers got there. She didn't want him to contact her due to him being violent in the past. The male was told to stop all contact with her and he asked about seeing his juvenile daughter. He was told he would need court visitation rights and only his lawyer would be permitted to contact the woman.
-- A man in the 200 block of South Howard Avenue reported at 5:49 p.m. Friday that he was sitting on his porch when a male came onto his property and started a confrontation. The male started beating him, leaving several marks. Fire department first responders arrived but he refused medical treatment.
-- Daniel Owen, 59, of North Lincoln Avenue, was cited for assured clear distance ahead and open container after his northbound vehicle attempted to go to the right around another northbound vehicle but struck it when it attempted to turn right at 12:37 p.m. Friday. Christlen Davis, 46, of East Palestine, was attempting to turn right into a private drive and went slightly left of the center lane to make the turn in her truck. She claimed she used her turn signal. The report said this was a single lane area. A thermos containing cold beer in the center cup holder of the Owen vehicle was seized.
-- Police investigated an open burning complaint in the 400 block of South Broadway at 3:58 p.m. Friday. The fire department responded and put the fire out. The residents were told the proper procedure for burning in the city.
-- Police were called at 2:49 p.m. Friday about a vehicle blocking a driveway in the 500 block of Continental Drive. Police found that the vehicle was not blocking any driveways and was in front of an apartment building loading furniture.
-- Police were called at 12:14 p.m. Friday to Marc's for a dispute between two males. One allegedly bumped into the other's wife. No physical violence occurred. Both sides went their own way.
-- A civil complaint was filed at 11:49 a.m. Friday about a male who would come to the food panty, 794 E. Third St., to volunteer. A woman who's on the board of directors said as a group they did not want this person on the premises, however, he would be invited by other people who volunteer/work there. Officers contacted the prosecutor's office and it was determined since the male was invited to volunteer, there's nothing criminal.
-- Police checked for a distraught male reported in the area near Legacy Lane and North Ellsworth Avenue at 10:57 a.m. Friday, but he was not located.
-- A Jeep SUV was reported partially blocking a driveway on East Fourth Street at 9:36 a.m. Friday. An officer located the driver at the food pantry and she moved the vehicle to another place.
