COLUMBIANA

— Don Vandling, address not listed, reported at 10:26 p.m. Tuesday his car was being tampered with.

— Police were called to the East Palestine School District at 5 p.m. Wednesday for a report that an assault had occurred between kids. The matter is under investigation.

— An East Taggart Street woman reported at 12:17 a.m. Wednesday there was possibly someone in the back yard of her property. Police checked but did not find anyone.

— Police were called to the assist the county sheriff’s office with a road rage incident on North Market Street near the Econo-O-Space storage sheds at 6:32 a.m. Tuesday. Police stayed with the drivers involved until a deputy arrived.

— An East Clark Street woman reported at 11:27 p.m. Saturday she believed someone was inside her home. Police checked and found no one there and no signs of anyone inside.

— Police were called to a home on Lincoln Avenue at 11:05 p.m. Saturday for a welfare check on a man who allegedly posted threats of harming himself on Facebook. The man told police he did not want to harm himself.

— Police were called to a Park Avenue home at 12:19 p.m. Friday for a report that a man had thrown his girlfriend’s property out the upstairs window into the front yard.

— Frank Anthony Carelli, 59, Jimtown Road, was cited for disorderly conduct at 10:27 a.m. Friday after police responded to North Market Street on a report that an intoxicated man was leaving the Home Savings and Loan and appeared to be going to his vehicle in the parking lot. Police identified the man as Carelli and took him to the police station so he could get a ride home from someone else.

LEETONIA

— An officer responded to the 300 block of Columbia Street at 5:21 p.m. Wednesday in reference to a sign that had reportedly been damaged by a blue SUV that continued driving, but there was no one in the area with whom to speak. After speaking with village employees, it was determined the sign had been damaged prior to the report.

SALEM

— Clyde Ketchum, 40, of Salineville, was cited for failure to drive in marked lanes after a three-vehicle accident at 5:32 a.m. Thursday in the 2300 block of East State Street. An eastbound vehicle driven by Robert Clark, 50, of Lisbon, drove into the middle turn lane on East State near Continental when the Ketchum vehicle, which had been eastbound behind Clark, drifted into the turn lane and sideswiped the Clark vehicle. The Ketchum vehicle continued in the westbound lane and then collided with a westbound vehicle driven by Derek Shasteen, 25, of Salem. No injuries were reported.

— A caller at 1:44 a.m. Thursday reported a domestic in progress in the 800 block of East Pershing Street where a male and female were walking and arguing with one another. Officers made contact and they said they were ok and only had an argument.

— An alarm was reported at 1:11 a.m. Thursday in the 600 block of Newgarden Avenue, but everything was secure. An alarm had sounded earlier at the same property at 11:43 p.m. Wednesday, with everything found secure.

— An officer responded to Salem High School at 8:56 p.m. Wednesday for a juvenile problem. Several officers providing security at the basketball game advised several fans were becoming combative with each other and they were worried about possible fights in the parking lot. Officers stood by until the parking lot cleared.

— Robert Callahan II, 42, of 807 Franklin Ave., was taken into custody at 7:07 p.m. Wednesday at his residence on a warrant out of Columbiana County. He was processed and turned over to a sheriff’s deputy.

— A man in the 2500 block of Lexington Avenue reported at 3:51 p.m. Wednesday that his juvenile son was threatened while on the school bus. The incident is under investigation.

— An anonymous caller at 2:25 p.m. Wednesday reported a complaint about a red SUV being driven in the area of East Third Street and Roosevelt Avenue with loud music that constantly wakes the caller up.

— Police were called at 12:47 p.m. Wednesday to the 1300 block of South Lincoln Avenue for a verbal dispute between a tenant and the building manager. Officers advised both parties to stay away from each other.

— Officers responded at 10:49 a.m. Wednesday to the 2000 block of Monroe to check the well-being of a city resident. The man said he was fine and didn’t need anything. He was told to contact the family member who called.

— A woman from East State Street came to the police station at 8:47 a.m. Wednesday regarding harassment. She found pictures of herself on Facebook that she wanted removed. An officer assisted her with removing the pictures.

— A child was reported unattended at a home on Jennings Avenue at 8:35 a.m. Wednesday. An officer located the mother at home. There was no problem.
