LISBON

--Sharon J. Roberts, 54, East Lincoln Way, was charged with obstructing police business following a traffic stop on East Lincoln Way at 9:14 a.m. Nov. 20. Roberts was charged after giving police a false last name and denying she had any forms of identification. Police then found credit cards and other documentation properly identifying her. Police also determined Roberts was driving with a suspended license.

--Deanna M. Lodge, 41, of Lisbon, reported Friday she has not been paid for 192 combined hours she worked at the Steel Trolley Diner last December and January 2018. She last worked in March.

--Nigel Spann, 21, of Wellsville, was charged with possessing marijuana following a traffic stop in town on Thursday.

--Brian D. Miller Jr., 29, of East Liverpool, was charged with possessing marijuana, possessing drug paraphernalia and failure to reinstate his driver's license following a traffic stop on Saturday.

COLUMBIANA

-- Nicholas Guy, 29, Columbiana, was cited for driving under suspension and possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on East Park Avenue at 1:08 a.m. Saturday. Further charges are pending lab results.  

LEETONIA

– An officer responded to a physical altercation at a 300 block of Columbia Street home at 12:14 p.m. Nov. 22. The resident told the officer her nephew had been in an altercation with her next door neighbor in reference to a road rage incident initiated by the neighbor. The neighbor said the nephew had initiated the physical altercation after he confronted him regarding the road rage incident. The incident was forwarded to prosecutor’s office for possible charges.

– An officer responded to the East Main Street area at 11:45 p.m. Nov. 22 in reference to a suspicious vehicle with an occupant parked in front of a home. The occupant said the vehicle would not start. He was advised he could not stay in the vehicle overnight and to have it towed or have someone pick him up.

– An officer responded to a 300 block Columbia Street home at 12:21 a.m. Friday to check on a female juvenile after a man in Florida reported she had sent him photos of her wrist with cuts on it. The juvenile said she was having a lot of thoughts in mind and her mother agreed to take her to a local hospital for evaluation.

– An officer responded to a 300 block Somer Street home at 1:20 a.m. Friday to perform a welfare check on the resident at the resident’s daughter’s request. The resident said that she was fine and would be moving out of the home the next day.

– An officer responded to a medical alarm at a 200 block Walnut Street home at 2 p.m. Friday. The resident said there was no medical emergency and that the alarm either malfunctioned or else one of her young children activated it.

– An officer responded to a 700 block Columbia Street home at 2:28 p.m. Friday where the resident reported an alarm sounding, but not knowing from where it was coming. The officer determined the alarm was coming from the engine compartment of a vehicle parked at the residence. The resident said she would inform the vehicle’s owner.

GOSHEN POLICE DISTRICT

– Erik Rosario, 27, Youngstown, was cited for no driver’s license and left of center following a traffic stop on U.S. Route 62 at Calla Road at 1:44 p.m. Nov. 20. Jeriel Jexier Rosario-Camacho, 19, Youngstown, was cited for wrongful entrustment for allowing his vehicle to be driven by someone without a license.

– Kaley M. Brandle, 28, East Sixth Street, Salem, was cited for driving under suspension and speeding following a traffic stop on state Route 165 and U.S. Route 62 at 11:43 p.m. Nov. 23.

SALEM

-- Police were called at 8:52 p.m. Sunday to Walmart, 2875 E. State St., to check the well-being of two juveniles who were seen being carried by a male through the parking lot. Police learned he was their father and the kids were just upset that he would not buy them an item from the store.

-- Loud persons were reported at 8:01 p.m. Sunday in the 2000 block of Monroe Street where officers spoke with several neighbors of an apartment complex who all said someone else was making noise. All parties involved were told to be considerate to one another and keep the noise level down.

-- Laura C. Blake, 52, of 411 Jennings Ave., was taken into custody at her residence at 7:45 p.m. Sunday on a warrant out of Columbiana County. She was turned over to a sheriff's deputy and taken to jail.

-- Police responded to a criminal trespass call at 6:54 p.m. Sunday in the 1300 block of Salem Parkway. The owner of the business advised a male was parked in the lot in the back of the building and he asked what he was doing there and the male said he was looking for his dog. The person left and police were unable to locate the vehicle. The owner checked the property and did not think anything was missing.

-- A man from the 400 block of West Wilson Avenue came to the station at 5:41 p.m. Sunday to report he has a security camera and saw someone entering his vehicle. Officers watched the video of a male entering the vehicle and going though items. The male was identified and charges are pending.

-- Police were called at 4:19 p.m. Sunday to the 1200 block of Maple Street for a dispute, learning the altercation was verbal only, with nothing physical taking place. Both parties said there would be no further issues.

-- A 911 hangup call was reported at 3:48 p.m. Sunday in the 1200 block of Maple Street. Officers checked several locations and found a woman in her back yard with the phone in her pocket. The calls were accidental pocket dials.

-- A dog was reported at large in the 900 block of Newgarden Avenue at 1:04 p.m. Sunday. Police located the dog and attempted to catch it several times, but were unable to catch it. It was last seen running in the 700 block of West Perry Street.

-- Police were called at 10:33 a.m. Sunday to Salem Regional Medical Center to assist hospital medical staff caring for a person suffering from mental issues.

-- A cell phone found in the 800 block of East Third Street was turned over to police at 10:28 a.m. Sunday and placed in the lost and found.

-- A child custody dispute was reported at 9 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of Hawley Avenue. Officers stood by while a juvenile gathered some belongings, then departed with her father.

-- A water main break was reported at 8:26 a.m. Sunday in the 300 block of Jefferson Avenue. The water department was notified.

-- Police responded with fire department first responders at 8:15 a.m. Sunday to the area of East Pershing and Fair for a report of an unresponsive male in a vehicle. The vehicle was found on Fair and officers spoke with the occupant who said he was fine. He had been laying across the seat of his vehicle working under the dash.

PERRY TWP.

-- Police were called at 10:36 p.m. Sunday about a person in the 1100 block of Prospect Street receiving threats over social media. The caller was advised there was nothing officers could do, due to the fact that someone else could have accessed the account of the suspect.

-- Township officers were dispatched at 9:35 p.m. Sunday to assist Salem Police on East State Street and Vine Avenue for two suspicious males running north with ski masks on carrying a bag. They were not located.

-- A resident on Wisconsin Boulevard reported at 1:21 p.m. Sunday that someone entered his garage and stole a chainsaw, portable heater and hammer drill.

-- Aaron Workman, 34, of Hammondsville, was cited for physical control and open container after police were called at 1:43 a.m. Sunday to Circle K South on South Lincoln Avenue fo a suspicious person who was passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle. Officers saw the male sleeping in the driver seat with the keys in the ignition and the engine on. Police knocked on the window to wake the person up and saw an open beer can in the center console. The male was checked by first responders and signed a medical refusal form, then field sobriety tests were conducted, along with a breath test. The vehicle was towed and Workman was given a ride to the station to await a ride.

-- Suspicious activity was reported at 8:55 p.m. Saturday in the 1600 block of Goshen Road, but nobody was found.

-- Police were called at 4:31 p.m. Saturday to the 1200 block of Pembrooke Drive for a welfare check, but were unable to make contact with the resident.

-- Police responded to the area of Ohio Avenue near West State Street for a report at 3:11 p.m. Saturday for someone shooting a gun, but were unable to find anyone or hear any gunshots.

-- A domestic dispute was reported at 10:27 p.m. Friday, but found it was verbal only.

-- A possible stolen firearm was reported at 8:12 p.m. Friday on Harding Avenue. The male said he would return the firearm sometime the next day and the female said that was ok.

-- Police responded at 6:35 p.m. Friday to the 400 block of Benton Road for a single vehicle accident, finding a red Jeep Cherokee abandoned, hanging off a driveway over a ditch. Kaiser Towing removed the vehicle. A citation will be pending for the driver when the information becomes available. 

NEW WATERFORD

-- At approximately 4:12 p.m. Nov. 20, officers responded to the 3200 block of Creek Road for a suspicious person/vehicle complaint involving subjects attempting to jump into the back of a van while it was moving. Officers searched the area but had negative contact with any persons or any vehicle matching the description given.

-- Officers responded to the 1000 block of Bacon Avenue in East Palestine for mutual aid with the East Palestine Police Department for a neighbor dispute at 6:13 p.m. Saturday.
