-- An officer responded to the a 700 block South Broadway Avenue business at 7:10 a.m. Thursday in reference to an alarm drop and found an open door on the north side of the building. The officer checked the building but found no issues.
-- A Cherry Street resident reported at 9:18 a.m. Thursday a sex offense involving a juvenile female. The matter is under investigation.
-- An officer responded to a 500 block East Third Street home at 11:34 a.m. Thursday where the resident reported someone had taken an item from the residence while he was away.
-- An officer responded to a 500 block Fair Avenue home at 5:11 p.m. Thursday in reference to a suspicious object inside the residence. The officer found the object and disposed of it.
-- Cherie A. Jenkins-Barcey, 39, no address listed, was cited for driving under suspension following a traffic stop at 5:22 p.m. Thursday at Highland Avenue and East State Street.
-- Officers responded to the 400 block of Woodland Avenue at 5:55 p.m. Thursday in reference to people soliciting. Officers made contact with a male individual and advised him he had to obtain a permit at city hall.
-- Officers responded to a 200 block South Broadway Avenue church at 6:21 p.m. Thursday in reference to an unruly juvenile who was misbehaving in class then fled the room and no one could find him. Upon arrival, officers found that the child had been located and had agreed to behave until his father arrived.
-- An officer responded to a 400 block North Broadway Avenue home at 6:57 p.m. Thursday where the resident reported her daughter was at a local business and had spoken to a male individual involved in a prior police matter with the resident. She said her daughter said the man threatened to kill the complainant. The incident was forwarded to the prosecutor's office for review.
-- Justin Tyler McNicol, 21, Vine Avenue, Salem, was cited for driving under suspension following a traffic stop in the 100 block of Rose Avenue at 8:48 p.m. Thursday.
-- Officers responded to a 1400 block East State Street home at 10:34 p.m. Thursday where the resident reported a runaway juvenile. Officers checked a possible location in the 600 block of East State Street, but the juvenile was not there. The juvenile was entered into LEADS.
-- An officer responded to a 700 block Summit Street home at 11:50 p.m. Thursday where the resident reported her husband had been acting suspiciously. She was advised that nothing criminal had occurred.
GOSHEN POLICE DISTRICT
-- Phoeun Joseph Chin Jr., 20, Bedford, was cited for driving under suspension and window tint following a traffic stop at Fifth and Main streets in Beloit at 5:44 p.m. Monday. His passenger, Roman Jacob Potapovich, 20, Parma, was cited for a seatbelt violation.
LEETONIA
-- An officer responded to the area of Columbia and Somer streets at 8:51 p.m. March 23 in reference to an SUV being driven recklessly. The officer was unable to find the vehicle.
-- An officer responded to a reported reckless driver on state Route 344 at 6:12 a.m. Thursday but was unable to find the vehicle.
-- An officer responded to a Somer Street apartment at 4:11 p.m. Thursday where the resident requested assistance in removing her boyfriend from the property. The resident's brother arrived and helped move the boyfriend out of the home without incident. The officer provided the resident information about filing for a protection order.
LISBON
-- Thomas Lockhart, 49, Cream Ridge Road, Lisbon, was cited for OVI and marijuana possession following a traffic stop for a tail light violation on state Route 154 at 8:06 p.m. Thursday. After police smelled marijuana coming from Lockhart, they asked him if he had been drinking. Lockhart said he had three double shots of whiskey and smoked some marijuana 30 minutes before driving. After a small amount of marijuana and a bowl used to smoke marijuana were found on Lockhart, he was administered the field sobriety test and failed. Lockhart was also cited for a tail light violation.
-- Police were called to the Lepper Library at 2:26 a.m. Sunday in regard to a suspicious vehicle parked nearby and people running through yards. Police arrived to find Michael Culp walking toward the PT Cruiser parked on East Lincoln Way. Culp was unsteady and said he was walking home after having a few beers at Pondi's. Police noticed the car had some damage, and then they heard someone approaching who was yelling and swearing, which the officer recognized as being Mark Knight. Then another vehicle pulled in the lot and police recognized Knight in the back seat. The officer told them to leave and then asked the highway patrol for help. Then police received a call that Knight had jumped over the fence at Mary's Pizza, so an officer went there and found the premises to be secure. When the officer returned to East Lincoln Way, a state trooper had arrived and reported Culp is believed to have struck a tree several doors down. Culp was cited for OVI.
-- Maxine Ridgley, Harrison Street, reported Monday her van window was shot out while the vehicle was parked in front of her home.
-- Police were called at 3:31 a.m. Friday by someone asking they check on the welfare of a boy who lives on East Lincoln Way. The caller was from Canada and concerned the boy was beaten while playing on Xbox. Police arrived and woke up the boy's parents, who then woke up the boy. The boy showed no signs of being beaten and said he had been asleep for about six hours. Police said it was quite evident they woke up the entire household and the youth was fine.
-- Clarissa G. Luckey, 26, of Youngstown, was cited for OVI following a traffic stop on state Route 154 at 12:13 a.m. Thursday. Luckey smelled of alcohol but denied drinking anything. She was charged after failing the field sobriety test and also cited for driving under suspension and license plate violation, which was the original reason for the traffic stop. Valier Napier of Youngstown showed up at 1:52 a.m. to pick up Luckey, but she was found to have a suspended license as well and was cited.
-- Donald J. Williams, 55, Pritchard Avenue, was charged with open container following a traffic stop on Vine Street at 6:44 p.m. Thursday. Williams was a passenger in the vehicle and found to have a cup containing vodka and Mountain Dew. He was also served with an arrest warrant out of the county sheriff's office.
-- A caller reported a woman was running in and out of traffic on East Lincoln Way near Smith Oil at 6:50 p.m. Wednesday, and police arrived to find Nicole Hilton. She was told to go home and stay out of traffic.
