Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Gamble to be feted at golden anniversary event

Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Gamble of Hanoverton will be honored on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary at an open house reception on July 28 at the Old School House Cafe in Hanoverton. Friends and relatives are invited from 6 to 8 p.m.

Festivities will be hosted by the couple’s two daughters, Kelly (Adam) Hahlen of Salem and Nikki (Kevin) Courtney of Hanoverton.

The former Karen Culbertson and Mr. Gamble were married on July 27, 1968, at the New Garden United Methodist Church by the Rev. Albert Oaks.

Mrs. Gamble is the daughter of Olen and Beulah Culbertson. She retired in 2016 from Salem Community Hospital where she was employed as a registered nurse for 47 years

Mr. Gamble, son of Alfred and Elsie Gamble, was employed at Salem Tool Company and retired from Coil Line Service in 2010.

The Gambles are members of the church. Joining in the festivities will be their seven grandchildren.
