Harold and Margaret Sanor mark 70th wedding anniversary
Harold and Margaret Sanor are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary.
Mr. Sanor met the former Ms. Sosenko at Pointview Dance Hall and true to Sinatra’s romance began.
Margaret worked as a secretary until becoming a farmer with Harold on the 240-acre Maple Valley Farm. They live in a red brick century home back a long lane where Harold was born. Harold’s parents lived next door in the white farmhouse as they farmed together and now their son, Grant, lives next door as a partner in the dairy farm business. The couple used to grow acres of potatoes, tomatoes, sweet corn, etc. which they delivered by panel truck to local markets such as Weiznecker’s and Quaker City Foodliner.
Their sugar camp began generations ago. Making maple syrup remains a big attraction. It has evolved over the decades. No longer do logs heat the sugar water and no longer do they carry heavy buckets of sugar water in the muddy or snowy woods. Grandson, Bryce, has automated the process and manages the dairy farm.
Harold and Margaret have enjoyed travel to Hawaii, Europe, Alaska and Florida.
Their family includes four children, Linda (Phil), Steve (Teri), Grant (Karen) and Laura; granddaughters Trisha (Jeff), Tiffany and Haley (Casey); grandson Bryce (Lauren); and four great-grandchildren, Paige, Cole, Everett and Becket.
A grandson, Bryan, preceded them to heaven.
Well wishes such as phone calls at 330-525-7424 to share memories would be enjoyed and appreciated.
