Earl and Virginia Bardo celebrate 70 years of marriage

Earl Ray Bardo and Virginia Rose (Griffith) Bardo celebrated 70 years of marriage Sept. 16. They were married at Damascus Friends Church Sept. 16, 1950, near both of their childhood homes. They moved into their current farm house July of 1951.

Their lives have been richly blessed. They raised five children on the family farm along with countless livestock, crops and memories: Mike (Karen) Bardo, Luanne (Tom) Cope, Marty (Chuck) Wells, Dan (Norma) Bardo and Les (Paula) Bardo. They then welcomed 14 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

They were very active at Damascus Friends Church and in The Farm Bureau. Earl worked 60 years at the Damascus Livestock Auction and Virginia was an avid golfer and bowler.

Earl said in his 93 years of living and 70 years of marriage he’s probably seen more change than most generations before him ever dreamed possible, and he encourages others to ask questions while the ones who hold the memories are still with you!

If you’d like to congratulate them or share a memory with them, they’d love to receive your cards at 30360 Georgetown Road, Salem, Ohio 44460.
