Louie and Robin Pilch of 652 Heritage Lane, Salem, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary recently with a Western Caribbean cruise.

The former Robin Bergman and Louis Pilch were married on Sept. 21, 1974, at the First United Methodist Church in Salem, by the Rev. Thomas Blank.

Mr. Pilch retired from GM Lordstown Metal Center after 36 years, as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer. Mrs. Pilch started out as a Radiologic Technologist at Salem Community Hospital, then chose to raise their family, and volunteered in their schools. They are the parents of Travis Pilch of Burlington, Iowa and Courtney (Vito) Abruzzino of Salem, and granddaughter Autumn Abruzzino.

Some of their favorite pastimes: enjoying family times together, and traveling all around to enjoy as many places as possible.
