Bridget Francine Szabat becomes bride of Kevin Charles Howells
Bridget Francine Szabat exchanged vows with Kevin Charles Howells at 2:30 p.m. June 27 at the Atwater Congregational Church. Pastor Kevin Gardiner officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Stan and Michelle Szabat of Salem. She is a 2008 graduate of Salem High School and a 2012 graduate of Kent State University where she earned a degree in child development and family service. Currently she is employed with Head Start as an early intervention teacher.
The bridegroom is the son of David and Tina Howells of Salem. He is a 2009 graduate of Salem High School and employed as a technical advisor with Apple Inc.
The bride wore a modern style, vintage, Oleg Cassini dress that was strapless in a trumpet-style which included fine beads with layers of lace.
The maid of honor was the bride’s sister, Stephanie Szabat. Bridesmaids included Danielle DeSantis, Mikenzie McKimmie, Chelsea Miller, Sandy Widener and Jenn Bernard. They wore sheer, mid-length dresses, in berry. Performing the duty of best man was Pete Eritz. Groomsmen included Theo Keniston, Quinn Hoover, R.J. Nagy and Christopher Szabat. The men wore charcoal grey suits.
A reception followed the ceremony at Underwood Hall in Kent.
The couple’s honeymoon included a cruise to the Bahamas. They currently reside in Winterville, N.C.
