The centerpiece clock tower for the Town Center at Firestone Farms arrived and was lifted onto its foundation Tuesday morning. The 40-foot, 4-inch steel clock tower, modeled after a 1930s small town clock tower, was lifted into place by Grim’s Crane Service of East Palestine. The 15,000-pound tower was crafted by Verdin Bells & Clocks of Cincinnati, in business since 1842, and has tubular bells which will chime on the hour. The four clock faces are 5-foot canister clocks with Saturn II dials with hands. The clock tower will be surrounded by fountains and flowers creating an area for relaxation. It currently sits to the southeast of Building 100 but with be in the center of the three buildings when they are finished.
