With the boyhood home of famed watercolorist Charles E. Burchfield as his composition subject, accomplished artist Christopher Leeper of Canfield displayed his skills Sunday during the Salem Art/Artisan Festival. The third annual event was a celebration of Burchfield and local artisans. Leeper is a member of the adjunct faculty at Youngstown State University. His work has been featured in books and publications. He has authored a book and illustrated children’s books for the Smithsonian and the African Wildlife Foundation. (Salem News photo by J.D. Creer)
