BELOIT - The West Branch school board Saturday accepted the resignation of the district's treasurer.
The board accepted the resignation of schools Treasurer David Drawl effective Feb. 28.
In his resignation letter, Drawl did not give a reason for leaving, but offered his support in the transition to another treasurer. He also said it has been a pleasure working with board members past and present and the district staff.
Schools Superintendent Timothy Saxton said the board has not decided on the next steps to replace Drawl at this time, but he anticipates the position to be posted as soon as possible.
Drawl came to West Branch from Brookfield Local School District in December 2016. His contract was set to expire at the end of July.
