A crash at the intersection of state Route 165 and Heck Road led to a motorcyclist being flown for medical care at St. Elizabeth's Hospital. According to the highway patrol, Joseph Maxim, 58, of Mahoning County, was northbound on state Route 165, when he came over a hill just before Heck Road and found traffic backing up due to a two-vehicle crash in the intersection. He reportedly laid the motorcycle down and was not wearing a helmet. His injuries were reportedly not life threatening. The names have not been released for the accident in the intersection, but troopers did report the white car was northbound when the pickup pulled eastbound from Heck Road and was cited with failure to yield at the stop sign.
