Fifty-five veterans and their guests attended the Veterans Day "Thank-You" drive-thru event Thursday at West Branch High School. Veterans and active servicemen and servicewomen representing all branches of the armed forces came to the event. As they entered the campus, they were greeted with a display of flags lining the parking lot, put out by the West Branch Future Farmers of America Club for Veterans Day. Each veteran was greeted at their car by West Branch administrators and presented with the tokens of appreciation created by students. Students in Scott Davis's CBI classes joined the administrators in greeting and thanking veterans throughout the event as well. Veterans received a treat bag as well as one of the district's famous cinnamon rolls, prepared by its foodservice team.
