The Perry Township Volunteer Fire Department applied for one of four Ohio Elks Association $1,000 Community Service Grants. The local department was approved and Salem Elks Lodge #305 presented a check totaling $959.10. This will be used to purchase two Stihl chainsaws which will help equip four of the five trucks with a chainsaw. The rest of the funds will purchase extra fuel, bar oil and chains.
