SALEM--The Salem Rotary Club will present the second annual Oktoberfest in Salem Oct. 7.
The event will be from 2 to 9 p.m. in the municipal parking lot across from Boneshakers on Pershing Avenue. Tickets will be $10 per person. Beer tickets will have an additional cost of $5 for one beer, or $20 for five.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Rotary Club of Salem's annual programming and its mission of "Service Above Self."
The event will feature the offerings of several breweries including Aeonian Brewing Company of Alliance, Birdfish Brewery of Columbiana, BrewDog Brewery of Columbus, Liebe Wein of Salem, Modern Methods Brewing Company of Warren and Southern Tier Brewing Company of New York.
Food will be provided by the Jesse's Grill food truck, which will be serving a German menu including kielbasa and bratwurst sandwiches, sauerkraut, haluski and potato salad.
The event will also feature the musical entertainment of the Youngstown Saxon Band from 2 to 5 p.m. and the Winona Road Band featuring Cade Shoff from 6 to 9 p.m.
Participants will also be able to enjoy cornhole and a 50/50 raffle.
